Stats Enforcer is dedicated to the development of theoretical and statistical applications to the game of hockey (among other sports). So much of hockey is quantifiable and available because of the dedicated hockey stats community (such as Evolving-Hockey, Corsica and Natural Stat Trick). This data provides us with additional insights that can be used to evaluate the game like never before.
Stats Enforcer is maintained by Matthew Arp, a Ph.D graduate (in Political Science) from West Virginia University. His other research interests include great power conflict and international norm creation. Beginning in December 2019, he will be featured on Ice Analytics – a podcast dedicated to exploring topics using analytics and statistics.
